Next week I start my first day of college at the local community college

my first day ever at fifty years old


it's a fence I thought I would never hurdle

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ 

 I have a new computer

which i really needed

i liked my old computer very much


i miss it already

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

computer batteries do not last as long as computers do

i think they should last longer

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

when you buy a new computer they try to sell you every single extra gadget and "plan" on the market

If you don't buy them they send more sales people over to tell you what a great deal it is

and how much you need it

if you do buy it they try to sell you something else

if you don't buy something else

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

my pictures look better on the new computer

it's bigger

it has touch screen

i only got that because it was the best deal

I'll never use that touch screen

    I love Cosmos ... I always think they dance at the end of the stems. Good for you and community college -- a new adventure. I think learning is a life long process - or should be! Enjoy the new computer.

    I love this post. Congratulations on "jumping the hurdle." School will be happy-making - and you'll get lots more out of the experience . . You'll also find lots of people closer to your own age . . .

    It would be extra fun if the sales people had an option for a cost effective person to carry your computer gear everywhere for you . . .
    and to believe good things for you all day long as part of the package price.

    Congratulations on starting school. I started college later in life too! It is so rewarding and I was a much better student as an adult. Good luck with the new computer too! Oh, and I love your photo too!

  ~ ~ ~ Abby and Hopie go to the beach. On Saturday my granddaughter, Abigail, asked if she could come to her Hopie's house all by herself. Of course, I said I would love that! a basket from the farmer's market

  A basket from the farmer's market. When I was a child my mum always had a fruit basket on the kitchen table.  Fruit was always an option if we were hungry at any time during the day. I had the same when my children were young and I noticed while visiting my daughter last week that she had a basket of apples on her table for her children. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree... I tend to put a basket of vegetables on the table as well.  Root veggies mostly since they don't need to be refrigerated.  I think that they look beautiful and why should fruit have all the fun! My favourite part is that everything (even the basket) came from the local farmer's market. It's so important to support local farmers.  ~ ~ ~ A bit of reading material.  I've been collecting books again... I've almost finished Think Indigenous.  My daughter bought it as a gift for me but decided to read it first. She loved it so much it took her a bit to part with it. I am loving it as much as she did and have put it down almost all the way through  because I don't want it to be over.  Macro tex
