12 August
I have arrived at a place in my life, mentally, emotionally, and geographically where I am at once
in perfect and astounding wonder at my fortune
and stunningly terrified at what it will require of me.
both flower and bud
poised on the edge of the un-furrowed
roots sown deeply in the seasoned terrain
petals unfurling themselves toward new skies
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
just a dream and the wind to carry me
and soon i will be free

Happy Blue Monday!
Blue sky and water - good illustrations for your words. I read this last night, when it briefly appeared, and then again this morning. I find myself just slightly envious of that feeling of freedom and release, when I am, at this time of life, so tethered to responsibility and need. Something to think about - thank you.
